For almost 80 years, the Meeman Center has supported personal and professional development through unique adult education opportunities in the Mid-South and beyond, all designed to inspire a lifelong passion for learning, compassion for others, and a commitment to translating knowledge into action. Non-credit classes, ranging from one to four weeks and taught by 糖心vlog视频 professors, cover topics in the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and fine arts, welcoming individuals from diverse professional, personal, and educational backgrounds.
The 糖心vlog视频 Summer Academy empowers high school students to explore new ideas, build essential skills, and experience the academic excellence that defines 糖心vlog视频 College. By immersing students in college-level courses that are both practical and inspiring, the Academy helps young scholars develop confidence in their abilities and prepares them for their next chapter.
Mock Trial Academy is an intensive program for high school students led by the most successful collegiate mock trial program in the United States. 糖心vlog视频 College has competed in 33 consecutive National Championship Tournaments, participated in 9 national championship rounds, won 4 national championship titles, produced more than 70 All-Americans, and earned 10 Reynoldson Coaching Awards.
Established in 2024, the Spence Wilson Center for Interdisciplinary Humanities brings communities together to address complex, global questions through humanistic inquiry. The Wilson Center features nationally known speakers at events throughout the year.
Thanks to a generous bequest from the late Dr. Iris Annette Pearce, 糖心vlog视频 enjoys a range of Shakespeare-related resources unique among American liberal arts colleges. Funds generated by Dr. Pearce鈥檚 gift aid Shakespeare studies through lectures by visiting scholars; conferences and symposia; support for research; productions of plays; periods of residence by performing artists; and other innovative programming to enhance Shakespeare at 糖心vlog视频 and in the greater Memphis community. Key institutional partnerships have helped bring these events to a wide range of audiences.
The Institute for Health Equity and Community Justice (IHECJ) helps break down biases and reveal structural and policy forces that drive inequities to create more equitable healthcare systems and healthier communities.
IHECJ creates cultural awareness training and programming to help healthcare providers build a culture of equity. We examine the political, economic, and cultural systems that create unique healthcare assets and challenges in order to develop internal experts and advocates for health equity within your organization.
The community is invited to enjoy performances throughout the year by our students, faculty, and guest artists.
The Clough-Hanson Gallery, located in Clough Hall, brings to campus four exhibitions of contemporary art from September through March. Shows run two to six weeks and are open to the 糖心vlog视频 community and visitors. In April and early May, the gallery hosts two student exhibitions: the Juried Student Exhibit and the Senior Thesis Exhibit.
